The Scoop on Starting Solids: Baby Food Cooking Demonstration

by  * Jill Epner, a life-long foodie and the owner of Little City Kitchen Co.

Are you thinking about making your own organic baby food for your little one, but not sure where to start? In this cooking demonstration you will learn how easy it is to make your own organic baby food. The class will explore the various types of whole grains, vegetables, and fruit your little one can enjoy as they begin eating solid foods, and the different methods that any home cook can use to make baby food in their own kitchen.

The class will begin with an overview of introducing solids, best first foods, and addressing common food allergy concerns.  We’ll discuss the equipment needed to make baby food, various cooking methods, and tips for the busy parent.  And finally, we’ll jump right into the baby food cooking demo where we’ll make 3 different recipes in 30 minutes or less.

We will be making baby food for infants primarily between 6-12 months, however you can easily adapt the techniques and ingredients to make food for children of all ages. Participants will keep all the food made during the demonstration for their little ones to enjoy at home.

* Participants will have a chance to win the Beaba Babycook & Boon Products!
